A closer look at the flash suppressor. This is one of the evil features that make up the definition of a so called “assault weapon” as redefined by the ex-Clinton administration. A Presidential ruling set the number of these features that a rifle could have before becoming a so-called assault rifle. Springfield Armory now has a California legal muzzle brake too be compliant with that state’s insane restrictions. As I plan on bringing this rifle into California I’ve purchased one to comply with the restriction. A flash suppressor keeps the light from a fired cartridge from ruining the night vision of the shooter - not to keep the light from being visible at the target. As a rifle with a 24” barrel doesn’t have much flash to begin with the regulation is yet another stupid infringement on our Constitutional rights.
