The simple and rugged DPMS detachable rear sight attaches with two large slotted thumb screws. The rear sight is similar to the standard A2 sight with two apertures in a 90 degree flip configuration. The windage adjustment is a standard A2 setup and the elevation is similar except for the lack of an 8/3 elevation flat mark on the wheel. The bottom picture shows this as it is bottomed out at 300 yards. The sight sits at the standard stock carry handle height and can be mounted very far aft on the rifle’s rails. The sight sells for $79.00 from DPMS but can be found on sale as cheap as $50.00 from other vendors.
