The A1 pistol grip was replaced with an Ergo Grip from S.c. Hines. The grip wraps around the back of the receiver allowing for a comfortable high grip. The rough coating makes holding the carbine on target easier with one hand as the other changes magazines. An S.c. Hines Gapper has been added since this photograph was taken. The Gapper fits just below the pivot pin of the trigger guard and smoothes this rough area out. The middle finger soon develops a blister holding the carbine as this area is relatively sharp without the addition of the Gapper.
