The Butler Creek folding stock makes the Mini-14 an easy to pack carbine. And it makes the little rifle into an evil assault rifle too dangerous for American citizens (except for the police) to purchase now. Wouldn’t it be more important to make killing illegal or to control the criminals killing rather than the random tool they decide to pick up and use in their crimes? Do we blame the car for a drunk driving fatality, the telephone for a bomb threat? But then liberal politicians are not afraid of your car -- are you? The facts are that cars kill more children than guns do by a large factor ... but then facts don’t matter, nor do the words of the Constitution it seems. This rifle had enough features deemed evil by the government in 1994 that it qualified as an assault weapon.
