Port visit canceled to allow for extra airwing training

Our second scheduled port visit was to Singapore. This visit was canceled when it was discovered that the airwing squadrons aboard had misread their training matrixes and were many hours short on their required training prior to entering the Persian gulf. The visit was canceled to allow 10 days more worth of training. The deployment was scheduled 18 months in advance - why couldn’t the training have been completed then?

Again, I’ve been to this jewel of a city several times in the past and was really looking forward to reliving the good times I’ve had there.
